Next morning daily at 5am a Nurse comes upto me n does my blood test. A very painful one indeed. She use to put a small water bottle beneath my left wrist, bend my wrist n take blood from the main artery. PAINFUL ! After that the routine starts. Sponging, breakfast, rounds of Doctors, dressing of the stitches…… but this day something new happened. I was asked by the doctor to sit on a chair…… I was like really? How do I get up? I cannot even move with 5 drains coming out of my body…… My legs badly swollen with vibrators on them. On top of that Diper . Oh God! After the Doctors round they all (the ward boys) came upto n said “ Didi aaj to uthana hi padega” I said OK but “ wo sab log aana jo mera weight utha sako”….. they all laughed and said don’t worry. I was lying on my bed n 6 of them picked me with my bedsheet n made me sit on a chair….. I felt a new life. I couldn’t even sleep for nights , could not turn side ways and here I was sitting on a chair. Excited yet scared. After few minutes I started feeling dizzy and asked them to put me back on the bed and they did. I was very happy that day n that day I told myself “ Tomorrow will be better than Today….” That kept me going. Attaching my picture of that day.
